Does the iphone 4 support spoken navigation on the new maps app?

Hi, although fairly underwhelmed by the new update I am trying to make the most of it. Just wondering whether my iPhone 4 is able to speak these new step-by-step directions to me or should I just end it all now as this is the only glimmer of hope I can see at the moment.
