i have a ipod touch and I can not find my genius funtion or icon on my ipod can someone please be of help to me. I would greatly appreciate it

Open the App Store. Genius is in the center of the tool bar at the bottom of the screen.

Open iTunes. Tap More in the bottom right corner of the screen. Genius is the 3rd item on the list...

but when going hitting more option on my ipod my only options from top to bottom were compilations,composers,genres

Music: There is no more Genius on the iPod as of this current update. It might be a glitch or something.

iTunes: Press the "...", and you'll see Genius.You might have to press "More" in the upper left corner first.
