do not disturb not working

I finally figured out my issue. I kept testing from the same phone. Under Settings / Notifications / Do Not Disturb, I had Repeated Calls set to On.

Fantastic .... What was the issue ?

And it's not my problem (I already had that option disabled and it happens to any phone number).

Yes exactly what happens to me as well

My DND does not work either even when I do have the screen locked. I've just about had it with iOS 6 - it's a bag of crap.

Maps doesn't work

Siri is a gimmick

Passbooks is a new gimmick

DND doesn't work

Steve Jobs would be ashamed of Scott Forstall & the iOS 6 he released.

Is that how it is supposed to work? That's exactly my issue as well. I would think I could either chose the days it runs, like the alarm feature, or it would stay on until I change it.

Super quick question. Assuming DND works within the hours specified, should I have to reset it every day? It works once then sets itself off.

It shuts off randomly. Also. you can not set days for operation vis a vis blackberry. Another poor implementation of this feature. I would like longer DND hours on the weekend and back to a work schedule during the week. Very poor.

That's kind of what I'm seeing. It shuts off after each night of use I have it set. Seems like a bug. I'd have expected you could set it to not disturbe for every day from say 9pm to 7am or something like that. I wonder if any 3rd party app's can access this feature and make it a lot more usable. Otherwise there's airplane mode at night...

So u r saying that when u have both repeated calls on and allow calls from favorites on, the iPhone still does not allow calls from favorites unless and until they call back twice???

I hope this is not what it's designed like. Please someone share if they had a similar experience.

Thanks for this answer! It is not intuitive. The setting do not make any sense to me but they do work as you outlined them. I have having the same issue as everyone in this discussion.

Thanks. this seems to he case. Unfortunately, it makes the feature less effective. Just because I am using my phone doesn't mean that I want to take calls. It's not a great feature because of this. Thanks tho! I'll complain to Apple.... 🙂

Ok I thought my do not disturb was not working. All you have to do is either set it up manually or scheduled and then hit the top button on your phone to black out and lock your screen. It will work then. It will NOT work if you screen is unlocked. It is that simple. Good luck 🙂

Nope still shuts off randomely. Have to set it everynight
