Q: do not disturb not working

Nope still shuts off randomely. Have to set it everynight

If I put my phone on DND manually and lock screen it works perfectly.  If you set it, I think it has to be repeated every time.

Okay, I was having a problem until I read that the screen needed to be completely black because the phone thought someone was there to use it if the screen was lit up.  Since enabling DND, and having the screen black, my DND function works perfectly.

DND will block all calls even when set to allow favorites.

This is garbage. How hard is this to do.

Funny part is it did work initially and now will block all calls.

Interestingly, the multiple call from a list (in my case favorites) works.

I find this interesting because my DND is working just fine.  I select it to ring for favorites, and it works.  I set it to emergency setting and it works. No problems here.  Good services Apple.

This feature will allow some calls from a group I made to get through sometimes but no texts get through. USELESS and totally unreliable. That part is really important. I've tried all of these things mentioned and it doesn't work. The only reliable thing is a repeat call within 3 minutes...I think. I'm frankly shocked by this poor implementation that seems to work for some...pretty glaringly slip-shod. Already gave Apple feedback which seems like it might be falling on deaf ears since this has been reported a few months ago to them by many people obviously.

Nothing seems to help to make the DND work. The little moon keep showing up even though it's outside of the times that I set it to DND, and I've reset the phone and closed all the other apps. Does anyone else have any help ideas? I've noticed the same problem on our three iPhones 4S since we've updated them all to iOS six.

Yes, I have been having this problem for a couple days.  From reading other posts it will be resolved at midnight 7 Jan (8 Jan AM) automatically.  I tried resetting it, changing my clock to manual and 24 hour clocks, and nothing worked.  Apparently Apple has known about this for a few days.

I've iPhone 5 with 6.0.2 and my wife is using my previous iPhone 4 on 6.0.1

The DND worked just fine for a week and then... it stoped working on both devices... i've tried anything... not working... i hope Apple fix this in 6.1 or 6.0.3 becouse it is very nice feature, but it is like a demoversion. Works one week and stops...

I am having the exact same problem.

When DND is On and the screen is locked, even though I have it set to accept calls from Favorites, if a call comes in from my favorites it does not ring.  If they call back within 3 minutes it rings.

Come on Apple this is not that complicated and should work.  If it says Allow Calls from Favorites, it should Allow Calls from Favorites!!!

I am constantly amazed at how some things with Apple work so well, but things like this are just complicated and don't work!!

I am having the exact same problem with my iPhone 4S with the Do Not Disturb function.

I have an iphone 5 (with up to date software) and as a person 'on call' during the night I set the work number I get called out from as a favourite and set DND. This has worked fine through January but last night I was called 3 times from a favourite number. It did NOT ring. Not only that but even the multiple calls within a certain timeframe did not trigger an audible ring. The calls did register on the phone by the way.Luckily I was called on a landline. I checked and double checked the settings then tried it again this morning by way of testing. Once again it proved inconsistent and unreliable working sometimes and sometimes not. The screen was off every time. Now I have lost all confidence in this really useful feature. I love my iphone but this has took a little shine off. Blackberry got this feature right and it worked flawlessly. Come on Apple what's going on?

It does not work for me either.  I work nights and need my phone as an alarm.  Thats why I use DND instead of vibrate.  I also use the ZEO app while I sleep.  So frustrating!!!  My ZEO scores suck!!
