iphone stuck in recovery mode

Happend to me last update. After hours on phone with support, ended up at Apple Store. They gave me a new phone, they said that was all they could do. They lost all my info. Sorry.

If I don't have a warranty will they give me a new one?

NB: using that article will erase everything on the phone, so make sure you've got a backup, but it's the only option.

unplug device then hold the power button and home button for ten seconds

then release home button but keep holding power button until screen goes black again

release power button

turn iphone on normally

im trying this but its just taking me back to the USB and iTunes screen..
