IOS 6 App store crash

SOMEONE! PLEASE CARE ABOUT THIS! I FEEL LIKE EMAILING SCOTT FORSTALL! I have always loved apple but this time, i'm ******. if it cannot work on the iPod touch, what's the point of making such a horible App Store app that looks good but is crashing before i can even open the downloads page!

How is this problem not getting any limelight? It seems people care about that statue of liberty is gone from the maps and other map issues. But not being able to download apps and update them isn't? As soon as i go to search something, Bam goes to a black screen for 2 seconds then returns to the main window. I also read that this was a problem in the beta which obviously wasn't correct when it came to full release. Apple need to release a quick fix of 6.0.1 soon. Not really liking that i have to use iTunes to sync my apps to my apple product.

Shall I downgrade? I want them to patch this up!

I have the same thing. It opens for and when I try to do anything the entire app crashes. Help!

I am seriously now going to downgrade to 5.1.1 if anyone needs help, well... I am not sure how that will work unless you have the 5.1.1 IPSW files... I happen to.

This exact same thing happened to me, and all I did was turn my ipod off (hold the power button at the top and slide o shut down) and then I turned it back on and then it worked!

I would suggest doing a restart on the iTouch: Hold the power on/off buttom down at the same time holding the home button for about 10 seconds till you see the Apple logo (important) ignore the "slide to power off" and let the system boot back up. See if this does the trick for you.

Relax man, IOS6 is way better than 5 so just chill and let the bugs get worked out. This same thing happened when IOS went from 4 to 5...gasp. 😮

Who do you think is gonna respond??? This is a user to user forum. Apple is nowhere around, they are not trolling this site asking what you think.

Relax, have a brew and reboot your device and see if that helps. No need to create a panic.

Yeah, I have done everything possible, restarted like 10 times, still the search does not work and keeps crashing. Sometimes it immediately crashes, other times I'm able to get a little further into the search and then crashes. There is no solution.

Possible Solutions:

1. Either restore back to iOS 5

2. or wait until iOS 6.0.1

For now you'll have to use your iTunes to search and buy any Apps until Apple fixes this bug.
