Changing music with Front Row Slideshow from iPhoto

How do I change the music on the slide show that comes up when I choose an iPhoto library from front row? I've tried in itunes and iphoto but don't see to be choosing the right thing.

I have a similar question about controling music and viewing photos from within front row. My computer has seemed to lose the ability for me to choose any song directly from front row while viewing a photo slide show. Now, when selecting a slideshow, for some reason it will switch the song that I choose to the default Sample Music (or whatever is selected as the default music selection under the Play button in iPhoto). Is there any way for me to regain this ability again? My computer is only 2 weeks old and I really loved the feature that I seemed to have lost. : (

Front Row always will silence any currently playing item when starting a new movie/video/slideshow/song. <</div>

Even when a song is chosen and set directly from Front Row? I was hoping I could view my photo library/albums and alternate songs by going back and forth through Front Row. I guess the closest thing to this is by not selecting an album/slideshow & staying on the photo preview menu?

thanks for the help kevin, it looks like you answer a lot of questions on this forum.

Right, it doesn't matter if the song is playing from Front Row or previously playing in iTunes, Front Row will pause it when starting a new slideshow.

Staying on the photo preview menu would work.

If you don't mind pre-setting the songs per iPhoto album ahead of time (in iPhoto) you'll get those played every time you select the album.

You're welcome. You could say I have a passion for Front Row and want to try to help people enjoy it as much as possible!

The problem is, you can't choose music for slideshows that is on the remote computer. As I am only using the mini as a server to play iMac content on my TV, I don't have any music files on the mini. Was hoping Front Row could stream both the photos as well as the music from my iMac, and stick with what music has been set for each slideshow as preset in iPhoto on my iMac.

Hi... I was having the same problem with my Frontrow, but the interesting thing is, I had a G5 iMac before this one. On that computer, I was able to keep my music playing in iTunes (Frontrow) and then I was able to start a slideshow in iPhoto (also while in front row) without having my music changed. Also, my friend has a macbook pro and he is able to play his music uninterrupted, too. I've tried comparing my settings and they're all the same! It's rather confusing for me and I would appreciate any further input. Thanks!

I actually figured out how to reclaim the music control feature. I noticed that it was the iPhoto update that killed the feature. The trick for me was to go into iPhoto and delete only the music files in it's RESOURCES folder. After that go to iPhoto and change the music setting under the play button by highlighting the Garageband playlist (which should now be empty since you removed the music) followed by saving the settings. Now it was important that it was the Garageband playlist that was highlighted and saved or otherwise the feature didnt work. I doubt this is an official fix for this but it's worked for me.
