Hi,
Try resetting the printing system and check if that may help:

If the problem persists with no change repair the disk permissions again, install the following package and check if that may help:

OK, before I did this, I downloaded the drivers from HP and installed. This seemed to solve the problem. The Apple software update brougt on the problem, the old driver from HP seemed to get it back on track. Thanks.
When this happens, the solution is to delete the /Library/Printers/hp folder and then install the drivers once. There are several threads here about this, and you shouldn't have to revert to an older driver.
The problem came back. I have to repair permissons each time.
What files is Repair Permissions complaining about?
Hello,
I continue to have this problem. Each time Apple provides an "update" to the printer software everything is fine until I repair permissions - either manually or when doing a SuperDuper clone. The next time I want to print I get the message that the Printer software was incorrectly installed and do I want to repair permissions. Replacing the appropriate folder for the different printers that I use doesn't help in the long run. The next time I repair permissions, the problem returns. Rather disappointing for this long-time Apple user (Apple IIe).
This is not specific to the HP printing software - I've run into it regularly with the Canon software. I guess I'll have to file a bug.
Ditto here with my Canon MP620. No matter how many times I repair it or reinstall the drivers, this keeps coming back.
