How to edit the user dictionary
Once I've told my Mac to "learn" a particular spelling, is there a way to delete that spelling from its "dictionary" of acceptable spellings?

Those are stored in a plain text file in /Users/"username"/Library/Spelling/LocalDictionary. Open it up in TextEdit, delete what you want and then save it.
