how do you share a wireless printer on your network

I have an airport extreme for my network. I also have a Canon wireless printer set up to this network. I can print from my Macbook Pro Retina with no issues. When I try to print on my windows 7 laptop on the network it will not print. The windows laptop recognizes the printer in the control panel and indicates that the printer is active. When I proceed to print the print que pops up and indicates that the printer is offline.

For network-ready printers, the printer itself provides the print server service. In practice to be able to printer to a network printer (wired or wireless) requires at least three things: 1) That the print job host (your computer) be connected to the same network, 2) The host has the appropriate printer drivers installed, and 3) The printer is properly configured on the host.

Since your MacBook Pro can print, I would suspect that the issue is either with the printer driver or its configuration on your Win7 box.
