How to remove, hide or turn off Flag and VIP folders in iOS6 Mail update

I am searching everywhere for a solution or workaround, nada. Yes, you can manually unflag messages but the Flag folder remains. And it doesn't matter whether you designate VIPs or not, you're stuck with that VIP folder. So many great updates in iOS6 but this is definitely not one of them. Flag and VIP folders have got to go, or at least give me the option to turn off or hide. Come on Apple!
