The reset didnt work for me.  Very tired of this garbage.  I havent had a ringer on the my phone for days.  This might be enough to get me off the Apple Bandwagon.  Hard to make excuses for work not getting done... Sounds like "Dogs ate my homework".

    Hi All,

I have iPhone 3GS 8GB and four months back upgraded to iOS6. Since then my mobile ringer is not working and it will not even display when there is a incoming call.

I would request you to suggest the solution for the same.

Hi guys, look for Hamizal Fadli ios 6 fix in google, he has the solution, I've done it and it works.

I can't link the page directly since Apple formus policies doesn't allow me.

So I noticed 6.1.1 was available this morning and it specifically related to 4S issues.

I was sooo hoping for the sound fix, but yet again, disappointed.

It's been over 2 months since the sound worked properly on my phone.

Apple, if you can watch this video and tell me with certainty that this is NOT a software issue, I'll buy another phone from you.

Updated my iPhone 4S to iOS6 on 19 sept.

At first problem with sound, but only for few hours, than back to normal.

    Again but for good.

Works only ringtone, timer, SIRI and sometimes unlock sound.

No sound on music, videos, apps, txt messages, keybord cliks etc. The volume buttons are blank, show only speaker with no bars like just to do.

Also the app store if I wanted to download any thing it pop a massage the I can not down load from Canda, India, .......... and other countrys store as it is not my country's store.

Is there any solution or we have to give up the Iphone and go to Android .... !!!!?????

I just updated to iOS 6.1.1 yesterday morning and now when I call someone, they can obviously hear their phone ringing but when they pick up they can hear me sounding very frustrated at the other end as I don't even know I've been connected to them - I hear nothing at all as its ringing or once it connects...?! The sound is working just fine for all other features on the phone though, strangely!

    Thanks for the Tip.

My iPhone 4 works after the procedure fine.

I now nearly sure Apple is not willing to fix the problem, more than the problem file can not give a user.

    Best Regards

Does anyone have a solution to this issue that DOESN'T require jailbreaking the phone?  I am relieved to see that other people are having the same issue, but so frustrated with Apple for not creating a solution yet!

Please help!  Music is my life!

Having the same issues here...but i'm clueless.

I had an iPhone 4 16GB i sold yesterday ...using iOS 6.1 ...and the sound from every speaker was loud as it should be.

I got an iPhone 4 32GB that i updated to 6.1 ...and the sound is poor!

I just had one event when the sound controls bugged and the phone did not produce any sound.

But i just wont admit it is a phone issue....since the main speaker and the upper one (used to hear calls) sound very low. Coincidence? I dont think so...

Do we have to get used to this?

6.1.2 does not fix it either.
Come on APPLE! Fix this crap!

It's been over 3 weeks since Apple swapped out my 3GS and my sound is still working great. No random loss of sound. If you're still under warranty, I would set up a genius appointment and have Apple replace the device. I still tend to believe this somehow software related, but in my case it solved the problem thus far.
