iOS 6 + keyboard shortcuts

I'm in the same situation. I've tried restarting, adding, removing, typing out the entire shortcut, and whatever else was mentioned on this thread, aside from restoring my device (which I'm reluctant to do with my ridiculously slow Internet). Apple, don't you ever read these things?!

This has been driving me nuts since Thursday, but what I just tried, worked!!!

Here's what I did...

Go to your page of actual shortcuts that you've created under "keyboard" and then "shortcuts". At the top of the page, there's a "search" bar. Start typing in some of your shortcuts. Just randomly type in a couple until the search-bar starts recognizing them. Once it starts recognizing them, try your shortcuts in a text message and see if they're working again. This worked for me.

I was thinking it was going to work, and had ridiculously high hopes!!! But it didn't work. Nor did reseting my keyboard dictionary THEN giving your trick a shot help.

Also, you're being a wonderful soul for replying to everyone's post...but we're also getting an email for every single one LOL.

I apologize for hitting everyone with 6 emails that all said the same thing. It's the first time I ever responded to a thread and I had no idea it would send the email to everyone, so that's why I replied to everyone individually. Sorry for spamming your box with 6 identical emails.

Ps. If my suggestion doesn't work, I do recommend trying it a few times. It picked up for me on about the third try.

I'm thinking my phone has a deeper issue then. Nothing's working... Maybe I'll be the next one who discovers a technique of their own? 🙂

Tried some of these suggestions. Proved temporary fixes. Problem recurs. Demand that Apple fix this with iOS 6.01.

When I go in to the shortcuts I don't see any search bar in there!

It depends on how many shortcuts you have.

Same problem with my 4S.

Lsill that is me too... I have an iPhone 4 ... It is so weird. It only works for about 24 hours and then I have to reboot it again. I can figure it out. Do you all have another device on one apple Id? I have and iPad 3 and aand iPhone. I know that the update did something to shortcuts and iCloud. I wonder if my two devices are inferring with one tin other and not communicating properly? Could that be it?
