use usb joystick as midi CC?

While I have no knobs on my midi keyboard (no CC's at all, not even pitch bend or mod wheel), I noticed my old usb joystick lying around. The joystick could theoretically (in my mind) be a source of continuous control in 3 ways (x-axis, y-axis, slider). Is there any way that events from my joystick could be translated into midi events? Some kind of software?
