Change which Facebook notifications you get in OSX?

Hello -

I have OSX 10.8.2 and the facebook intregration is working well. I have one question. Of course there are MANY types of notifications that Facebook can send (via email) or simply keep a count of on the FB menu.

How can we determine which of these notifications we will get? I have gotten notifications for FB messages, FB friend requests, and FB comments (on my post). What about others?

Any ideas?
