    I have the same problem with iphone 5 wifi...bad signal and no WPA2 connection

    Is a 16 Gb black from Orange Romania and the wifi MAC adrsess starts with 40:B3:95

    and the serial starts with C39JPJ

    I will ask for a replacement to Orange after the stock will be renewed...hpefully to get a 100% functional one

    I would suggest to everyone to report this issue to Apple and for those still in their return time, to just return the phone.  It's obvious there is a huge issue with this phone and has been since it was released.  This is flat out unacceptable.  I'm returning my iPhone today.

    try calling your wifi provider and making sure your channel is 6, 02 guru done this with his iphone 5 and i have done the same and no issues now, hope it helps!

    Apple . . . If this many people are having this same issue then obvoiously THERE IS AN ISSUE!!! I too am having wifi connectivity issues. Not too good when I get better internet results by turning wifi off. I love my iPhone 5 along with all of my other Apple products but this nees to be fixed not ignored! Don't ya think???

    My original phone connected to wifi fine but the signal strength was bad, it also had a dead pixel so the Apple Store swapped it. The 2nd phone had weak wifi signal but still connected when in range. I was beginning to think this was just part of the dual band wifi on iPhone 5 so went to the store and tested the wifi signal on all of their display models. They all received about twice as many wifi signals than my phone. I then spoke to the 'genius' that told me mine was fine and not detecting as many signals as we were sat at the back of the store. I then offered to prove that mine had a weak wifi signal by going to the front of the store & holding it side by side to all of the display models whilst searching for wifi signals. She declined and insisted my phone was fine but would swap it as a gesture of goodwill! I agreed & she said that she would have to make it clear that there was no fault found. My replacement works fine and picks up just as many if not more signals than my old 3GS. This I would say proves that some are just faulty or at least not working 100% as they should and I would encourage anyone with weak signal strength to goto the apple store and compare yours with their display models. My third one works fine and I'm now a happy customer.

    Have you tried unplugging your wireless router and plugging back in, then reset network settings on your iPhone? I did this and it fixed it permanently.

    I had same issues with iPhone 5 not finding or connecting to my home wifi network even if right next to it. I took my case off the phone & now it works... I googled where the antenna in the phone was located & wondered if the case was blocking the signal.
