Mar 6, 2013 11:41 PM in response to pao2by JanSKay,When you pay several hundred or more for a device we'd appreciate it working as designed. Why wouldn't we?!?!

Mar 7, 2013 12:07 AM in response to JanSKayby pao2,My suggestion is go to the nearest Official Apple store and tell ALL your cares with the device, well don't expect that they will help you 100% & will solve all the issue's if they don't! well, (think) sell your device as second hand then shift to other brand, I recommend Lumia 920, for me that is the alternative device for iPhone

Mar 7, 2013 2:38 AM in response to pao2by Dore007,Wow, I rang Apple, went I had done all the suggested troubleshooting other then restore the phone as new. I backed it up, restored as new and then it does an auto back up over my back up and to put salt in the wound my wifi hasn't changed.... Not happy, time to send it back for a replacement.

Mar 7, 2013 7:45 AM in response to Dore007by johnzimmerman,261 pages and counting. This is ******* stupid.
My iPhone wifi basically does not work. It appears to be connected to whatever network with full bars but will 2-3x a day stop working. The only solution I have is to turn off wifi and use LTE for a while and then try rejoining the network and hope it works.
And yes, to whomever posted the stupid video on YouTube with the stupid lilty voiced woman singing claiming to have "fixed" this issue and taking 2 minutes to eventually show me how to power cycle the phone I've tried turning it off and back on again!
I've had 3x iPhones. This is the worst phone I've owned. **** battery life, **** wifi.

-
Mar 7, 2013 10:54 AM in response to johnzimmermanby MrLuxuryYacht,I reiterate that turning the Multicast Rate to Low solved all my issues. Turning back to high brings them all back; almost all the issues listed in this monster thread. Which makes me believe that it's a software/hardware or software only or hardware only that we're all dealing with.

Mar 7, 2013 1:45 PM in response to pao2by Gnavicks,pao2,
Can you test the following streaming video for me on your iPhone 5 by first turning on Airplane Mode (Settings/Airplane Mode/ON) and only connect to WiFi (Settings/Wi-Fi/ON)?

Mar 8, 2013 3:22 AM in response to tobifsby CKFROMSG,My iP5 was confirmed only failed with 2.4GHz routers. I just got my iP5 replaced. Now all the 'failed' routers worked with this new iP5 at 2.4GHz. The new iP5 come with model ND2972P/A, iOS6.0.2 and modem firmware 1.0.x. It work with 2.4GHz routers. I upgraded to iOS6.1.2, the modem firmware changed to 3.04.25.
Old iP5 is model MD??????.
So I strongly believe it is H/W issue on certain batch of iP5. Don't wait for s/w upgrade, it won't solve this type of issue.
For those who iP5 not working on 2.4Ghz router, go replace your iP5.

All, please check yours! All good ones and faulty ones.
If we confirm that all MDs are faulty it will simplify replacement process for all of us.
Dear ALL, please check model of your iPhone 5.

Mar 8, 2013 5:06 AM in response to buxnaappleby decsramble,Mine is an "MD". If this is true and the faulty phones all fall into a certain model group then shame on Apple for not issuing a recall notice!
