ios 6 issues with Iphone 3GS, Ipad 3 and imessage

I have just updated both devices to ios6 and their appears to a problem with imessage on the ipad 3.

I connect both via bluetooth/personal hotspot then connect externally via my UK network provider.

However imessage is unable to deliver any external messages now, the status bar gets to almost done, circa 95%, then freezes.

I have reset my network settings but this hasn't cleared it, acessing the net via the above set up seems to be unaffected, so it must be localised to the imessage app itself.

Any ideas or suggestions welcomed.

Yes I see this too. Using the hotspot via WiFi does not have this problem but is a poor workaround. I also upgraded both devices to iOS 6, and tried resetting network settings on the hotspot device, to no avail. I filed a bug report at http://bugreporter.apple.com , you may wish to do the same.

Hi Mikal,

yep still no resolution to this issue, I hope this get's fixed in the next software release by apple

Also to note and somewhat similar, I've recently got an iphone 5 and have connected this to my macbook air using bluetooth PAN, and for some strange reason it drops the connection after a few minutes, I've set up another post for this issue and as yet no one has posted a solution to this one, so i think its somehow connected to the same underlying issue as this post.

All in all very frustrating........
