How do I get lyrics to show up on screen?

I copy and paste lyrics just like the manual tells me to for my nano. When I use my nano and the songs are playing the lyrics dont show up. I press the center button down like it said to do and still nothing shows up. What am I doing wrong?

It may take more than one button press depending on whether you have artwork or not.
