With the installation of iOS 6 on my iPhone 4S my music app now skips through songs on my playlists. I can play the songs if I go under song or artist, but within the playlist it just skips through most songs. Anyone know of a fix? I've been through all settings.....

Having similar problems, won't play most songs on my playlists
Do you se iCloud? If so go to settings and under music, click show all songs
yup, they are all listed. When you tap on a song it just skips it, if you try and reverse or forward to the song it skips it as well.
Same problem - ridiculous that this wasn't tested ahead of time.
What worked for me was turning my phone off and on, reconnecting it to my computer, unchecking the sync music box in itunes to remove all of the music from the phone that does not work, then I just checked the sync music box again to put it back on the phone.
Removing and replacing the music would not work for me until I powered off the phone and restarted it. Hope this helps

Solved it!
Make sure all your music is backed up to your computer.
On your iphone Under Settings / General / Usage
Tap the Music app, you'll be able to swipe left and delete all music off your iphone.
Reconnect iphone back to computer and sync your music again.
No skipping!

Deleting and moving songs back on did not work. However, restoring the phone from a backup did. I also noticed that it downloaded some sort of update when it did the restore.

this worked for me , at least didnt have to wait for able to bring out 6.1!
I've tried many things to get my music to work and nothing has worked for me.
I followed barbajoy and I have my music back!

This seemed to work for me for a few weeks but tried to play a different playlist and no luck, continued to just skip thru each song without playing them
Apple really have fallen. With all the money I pay them, and the loyalty, I expect better.
With the bug where I couldn't download from iTunes unless I set the date to a year from now and this they are trying really hard to become the new Microsoft! Disgraceful!
