Please help upgrade iPAD 4.3.5 to 5 then to 6 i am not a comp guy

I have an iPAD 2 with 4.3.5 I just downloaded iTunes and synced and then it asked me if i wanted iOS 6 Isaid yes then it took about 20 min but all I got was 4.3.5

iPad 2, iOS 4.3.1
