iPhone 5 camera flash out of sync with shutter.

Yes the same thing is happening with me. I was testing the camera with the flash 'on' in poor light conditions, the first flash fires brightly, the second flash fires less brightly and finally after the flashes have gone off the shutter activates, this results in very dark photos. The camera is great in normal light conditions. It's most annoying. I have seen other posts complaining of the same thing. I think I will have to take it to an Apple Store for a replacement.

It's iOS 6, which was clearly not ready when the iPhone 5 had to ship. Apple: "ship it anyway!"

Try rebooting your iPhone. This clears up the problem (at least temporarily).

I am having shutter problems with my Iphone 5 also. My wife's Iphone 5 does not have this problem should I take mines back to Apple.

Same problem.

Disabling the location services in Privacy for the Camera fixed the issue.
