Anyone else having trouble with the iMessage after updating to iOS 6?
I updating Wednesday morning and after my bf updated too I can't send iMessage to him. It doesn't come up delivered and he doesn't receive them. Can anyone help me?
Another update needed to fix this apple!!!

Can you confirm that you have iMessage turned on?
My turned itself off when I updated to iOS 6 on the 4s.
Settings > Messages > make sure iMessage is on.
Yea it's been on. But now had to turn off so I can send messages.
Went into to apple and assistant told me she wasn't sure and to try restarting it.
Didn't work.
So annoying.

Yes, mine has been working. Not sure what else to suggest for you here.
Perhaps someone else has some ideas.
Are you sharing the same Apple ID by any chance?
I also use my Apple ID on my iPad.
I as but this question is about your iPhone 4. So I ask again, do you share the Apple ID?
Would it matter if two people share the same account? My wife and I are signed in under the same account and it has never been a problem until today.
I had the same problem iOS 6 ate all my messages. And I couldn't send iMessages. I rebooted the phone and now it's working.
Mine is not working either! Only had problems with messaging after "upgrading" to ios6......im pretty POed about this! I tried turning messaging on and off. Tried signing out of my apple id and signing back in. Tried shutting down and turning back on....nothing is working. I really hope there will be a solution for this as I use this feature very often.
I use imessege so much. As. The signal in my house is pretty rubbish I need iMessage to Be able to text my bf
HURRY UP AND GET THIS SORTED APPLE!!!
I got mine to work. I rebooted the phone, deleted the previous string of messages from my GF, went in through contacts, selected her again, sent her a message... the first went out as a text then she responded and iMessage is working again.
You may not have to delete the string. I just did it to break and reset the link.

i dont use iphone but i have ipod touch 4g with the ios 6 update and i have experienced the same problem. i can send to one imessage user but not the other. in my opinion its an apple problem not a hardware problem.
Also having the same issue. It says iMessage is on, but its not actually sending things through it. It only goes through as text.
It looks like it is all down to apple and their servers
We may just need to sit right and wait for another update
