viewing movies
anyone have trouble viewing movies through the hdmi cable. it suddenly stopped working

From what? From your iPad? If so, I'd suggest you ask for assistance in the iPad forum (posting full details about your iPad, what movies you have, the TV, etc), this not being an iTunes for Mac issue. You'll be more likely to get useful advice in that other forum.
