Hi, I can't get my old wacom intuos2 to work with mountain lion, any suggestions? Apart from buy a new tablet.

Ensure you are using the correct driver (version 6.2.0-w4).

Doesn't even install on Mountain lion 10.8.2. Currently Wacom doen't seem to support the intous 2 on this OS.

I was out of town for a few days. I had no issue installing the driver on Mountain Lion (10.8.2). What specifically happens when you try to install?

If you get this message:

then you need to right-click on the installer package and select 'Open' when you get this message:

If this isn't your issue you need to be more specific about what is happening.

Thank you, 1000 times! I, too, was told by Wacom that my Intuos 2 was not Mountain Lion compatible. It took me awhile to figure out how to install the new driver; not being a "right clicker," I found that control click did the trick to open the install package. I am now using CS6 happily without having an erratic pen.

See Martin Pace's reply above. Make sure you have installed driver version 6.2.0-w4. Martin provided a link. That worked for me. I still have the problem of the disappearing cursor, but at least the pen itself behaves properly.

Martin's link now takes us to a general Wacom site, and the Intuos2 drivers aren't to be found. Anyone have an alternate download link? I'm using 10.8.4. Thanks!

I had this problem too. Downloaded different wacom drivers many times. Rebooted and rebooted. Nothing. The drivers never showed in my System Prefs Menu in Mountain Lion, UNTIL . . .

I plugged the wacom tablet directly into my 10,1 - 27" iMac back.

I cannot run the tablet plugged into my Apple USB keyboard connection.

Great! After waiting for a reply from Wacom, which still hasn't come, this thread solved my problem too. Now my good old Intuos is working great on my new iMac with Mountain Lion. Thanks!
