iPhone 4s - Voice Control

Do you have checked Siri or voice control to start by holding up the phone ?

You should uncheck this choice in preferences than Siri will operate only if you keep pressed the home button.

As posted, turning on Siri (in Settings>General>Siri) will disable Voice Control and substitute Siri. Or, if you want to keep using voice control but prevent dialing when the phone is locked with a passcode you can do this by going to Settings>General>Passcode Lock then turn off Voice Control Dial (only available when Siri is off).

You can turn Siri On, which will turn voice control off. Then set a passcode lock in Settings>General>Passcode Lock, then disable Siri when the phone is locked by going to Settings>General>Passcode Lock and turn Siri to Off (under Allow Access When Locked). This will prevent Siri from being activated when the phone is locked.

You should really use a passcode lock anyway. It's the only way to insure that if your phone is ever lost or stolen your data can't be accessed. (Without the passcode the phone can only be forced into recovery mode and restored as a new phone, erasing all data and settings.)

Quickly press the power button to lock the iPhone. It cannot do anything unless you press and hold the Home button so I don't understand how it is doing anything unless he has small objects in his pocket pressing only on teh Home button when he neds over.
