Need to set iTunes proxy setting without changing IE proxy info

I would like a way to edit the iTunes user preferences to use a different proxy for my iTunes on Windows client than I am required to use for my other Internet settings.

Please advise, thanks,

Let me try again then: Every other Internet program in the world lets you set your proxy settings. iTunes doesn't. Is there some way to use a command line or registry entry to tell iTunes what proxy settings to use?

Hello gbolcer,

iTunes uses the proxy server settings configured in Internet Options, which are the same settings Internet Explorer uses. Other browsers may use their own proxy settings, so you could try using a different browser, unless of course you are required to use IE.

I appreciate the comment, but apparently I'm back to my original issue.

I need to use different proxy settings for my iTunes client than I use for IE.

Is there a way to set the proxy settings for just the iTunes client, but not IE.
