Dec 23, 2012 1:20 PM in response to mampoby jdelisle,Martin, that makes perfect sense.
I've not tried your suggestion, but it does sound like an improvement to my approach.
I'd go back and edit, but this forum doesn't allow edits.

Jan 29, 2013 12:02 PM in response to jdelisleby RalfFRA69,@jdelisle:
Hi there from Germany - i got the same problem, ordered three times a Photo Calendar - became a notice email that something is wrong. After a long Call with the Apple Care Hotline the Serviceagent sent me a email with a printscreen - the Size of the Month is little! In the PDF it shows normally.
I understand all in your instruction - but don't understand Point 10.
When I go to KHProjectTexteStyle i have no ProjectID Number - how can I do this? In the Field fontsize is nothing. Please help me...
Many wishes from Germany
Ralf

Maybe you can try Mampo's hint:
I would revise your wonderful instruction in this way:
11. Locate a line in the "KHProjectTextStyle" table where the number in the "projectID" column matches the "modelID" you noted in step 9, and delete this entry completely
Do this for all the entries (lines) with this projectID
This way, everything will be set back to standard!

Oct 12, 2013 10:52 AM in response to Loki Cyberforceby gardnervh,Thanks to mampo and jdelisle for their solutions to this issue.
Your instructions were spot on and saved us as well.
However, we are stunned that Apple hasnt supplied some sort of fix for this, which we are experiencing some 8 months after the last comment in this thread. Or if they did, we certainly have not found it.
A significant aspect of switching to Apple from the competition is that "it just works".
Editing sqlite tables to correct some sort of upgrade issue is far from "it just works".
Apple, should you be reading this, I'd strongly encourage you to come out with a fix script, or hotfix to iPhoto.
Dealing with this issue, until we found this article, was signficantly stressful and we dreaded the prospect of starting the calendar from scratch.
Thanks again to mampo and jdelisle for their work.

Nov 12, 2013 8:54 AM in response to Loki Cyberforceby CSLong,I had exactly the same problem noted here. I altered text in the calendar and then found the month title had become very small. I tried to buy the calendar but it was rejected with ‘inconsistent font sizes’.
I have tried the fix mentioned here and got to step 11. I noted my ‘modelID’ which equalled 12 in step 9, and changed to ‘KHProjectTextStyle’ as noted in step 10. But there was no line in step 11 with the a ‘projectID’ which matches my ‘modelID’ i.e. 12. In fact there was only one line with a ‘projectID’ of 1.
This line has the "styleIdentifier" as "Picture-Calendar-CalendarMonth" and in the ‘fontsize’ column was 6, which I changed to 54. Looking at the thumbnails for each month the calendar seemed unaltered, but I tried the technique mentioned by mampo in these posts - going into one page (month) in detail and this fixed the problem. My text size also seemed a bit big for the month title.
One further point to mention. In my case the KHProject table seemed to have all the calendars I had ever created, including those I had previously deleted. I had been experimenting with different calendars and styles and so did not worry about the name of the calendar. I created ‘testcalendar’, and then deleted it and created another. I ended up with several in the table, all with the same name, so it may be difficult to identify which one you want to alter. Changing the name of the calendar in iPhoto does not seem to change the name in Projects.db. Moral - never reuse a name for a calendar that was previously deleted.

Nov 12, 2013 9:36 AM in response to CSLongby T-Will,I'm getting ready to start making my 2014 calendars; has anyone tested to see if the latest version of iPhoto still has the calendar font issue?
-
Nov 12, 2013 9:44 AM in response to T-Willby CSLong,I am using iPhoto 11 (9.4.3) which Software Update tells me is 'up to date'. My comments above apply to this version i.e. the problem is still there.

Nov 12, 2013 9:52 AM in response to CSLongby T-Will,Looks like iPhoto '11 (9.5) is the latest version. I think you have to update it through the Mac App Store.

Nov 12, 2013 11:58 AM in response to T-Willby Old Toad,I've never had the calendar font issue in any of the previous versions and it's not in the current version. So if you're having it it must be related to your configuration some how. Have you tried running iPhoto from another user account on your Mac and see if the same problem exists there?

Nov 12, 2013 12:05 PM in response to Old Toadby T-Will,I *think* the issue with the month text occurred after I customized or changed the default fonts when adding holidays and events.
-
Nov 12, 2013 3:21 PM in response to T-Willby Defrog,Yes, T-Will is correct. I've printed many calendars and never had a problem until I did some editing of the events, like birthdays I entered. If I have to do it again, I'll make all the changes BEFORE I add any photos. That makes for a much easier fix as described in an early post.

Nov 13, 2013 6:52 AM in response to T-Willby CSLong,T-Will There may be hope!
I have tried a test calendar with OSX 10.9 and iPhoto 11 (9.5) and cannot reproduce the problem. I used the Modern Lines theme. The default font for this is Helvetica Neue. I inserted public holidays, deleted some, and changed the typeface of others. Additionally I added some text of my own both in Helvetica Neue and other typefaces both in varying sizes and colours.
The month text has remained at the right size and typeface.
Admittedly this is not an comprehensive test but it is encouraging.
