error code 1156
When I try ti Sync my iPhone I get this message. Cannot be synced an unknown error occurred 1156.

I got this. Turned out iPhoto had updated to a new version and needed to update its database. I had not run it since it had updated. The sync was failing at the photo sync stage. Try running iPhoto, see if it updates your library. Then sync the phone again.
