Good idea. I am asking them to call me now. Because I am afraid of getting a damaged replacement set, I need to wait again. Might end up waiting a long time getting a perfect iPhone 5.

Just had brand new iPhone 5 delivered scratched right across the antenna!
Now I am getting no replies to my email and am extremely upset and annoyed by this.
My fifth iPhone 5!!!!!

Got a reply from Apple CS. They are charging me 279kr for the replacement while I continue using my iPhone 5 because it is considered express service.
I am not really happy with the extra charges but this is the best option since my service provider has no stock. Using the standard service, I can be without a phone for a few days. Nano Sim card is only used in iPhone 5 and I paid 250kr to Telenor. There is no Apple Store in my area unless I travel to Stockholm for an exchange. Now I will get a refurbished set instead of brand new.
I spent so much money getting a new white iPhone 5 64GB. Only to open to find a dent. Why am I paying for you mistakes in poor quality Apple? Do remove the part where you "iPhone 5 is made with a level of precision you'd excpect from a finely crafted watch" until you have control of your QC.

Don't settle for anything less than perfect. Demand that Apple take down their over hyped marketing campaign!
I am just waiting for an American to sue Apple over this and see how Apple loses in court with all the over hyped marketing and empty promises of not delivering a product they sold us on...

I'm not sure if the return policy is 30 days world wide though. On Apples website for Canada, the return policy is only 14 days. That's easily passed if you were to call apple a few times and book 1 or 2 appointments trying to get a good phone.

I ordered white iPhone 5 64G today, Says it wont ship till 26th, but im sure it will ship sooner. Mine is from VZW, how many of you have received damaged White iPhone 5's from VZW? Id like to know! thanks

I'm thinking about returning my black 64GB and waiting for the white 64GB from Verizon.
They also told me it would be the 26th before it ships.
I guess now that Steve Jobs is gone Apple is producing substandard products.

I received mine today (64g white AT&T) by UPS 2 days ahead of scheduled delivery. Happy to report no scratches, dings or dents.

Some of the products have this problem, Apple is trying to fix it. The reason you have this is because Apple is using a new tactic of using really small diamonds to give it that mere mirror finish.

No excuse! Apple should not have used this finish for a mass produced product. They decided to do so and they must own up to the mess! This whole situation could have been avoided if they didn't rush the product and had proper quality control from the start! Epic fail.

No they do not. I have a Samsung Galaxy SIII and not a single issue out of box. So do my friends who have a Galaxy SIII. My friends with iPhone 5s along with me have had issues with iPhone 5!
I have both phones and I will tell you this... the Samsung Galaxy SIII has a much better fit and finish than the iPhone 5 (I am not talking about plastic vs metal), I am talking about overall fit and finish!

For those wondering if they had fixed this problem yet? The answer is NO! I took back my first run at the iPhone 5 because of scuffing and WiFi issues, I looked at 9 total phones from two different stores. I "hoped" after speaking with an Apple employee in LA that it should be safe to order now. He suggested try online store after 10pm so that I could pick-up next day and assured me the new batch will be better. So I did, I was able to pick-up at Fashion Mall today10/16. First phone (Black 64 MD644LL/A) scuffed up pretty bad, oh no, here we go again...So the girl suggests lets try another new box, she goes on to say we keep about 10 or so of each for instances like this. Second one, can anyone guess? Same deal, but "not as bad"... keep in mind, this is # 11 iphone that I have looked at so far, each had signifigant damage. Hmmm, the young girl looks puzzeled,
Girl= sir, is this phone not PERFECT enough for you? (She really said that)
Me= Actually it's better, but to answer your question, no it's not PERFECT, it's scuffed up and I really don't know what to tell you.
Girl = Were are the defects?
Me = Here, Here, Here and There....
Gir = OK, I'll show it to my manager and hopefully we can get another one for you
Girl = Sorry sir, my manager doesn't see anything abnormal, he tells me this is withing specs, btw, we are out of these certain phones and you have to get the one you originally ordered... But, if you want, you can try to order another online and/or wait 3-4 weeks....
For now, I give up! I'm dumbfounded, going to give this a few days and see how I feel about it all!
APPLE. i hope you are taking note!
