Q: It's taking forevery to install... is this normal?  If not how do I stop it?

I am trying to install Mountain Lion.  My computer has said "Installing" for a couple hours.  Is that normal and if not what do I do to stop it?

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8)

It took me a good 2-3 hours to install mountain lion on my macbook pro and I haven't had any issues so far. How long has the installer been running now?
