I know the Maps Program has it's issues, but the one I encountered tonight was the screen was too bright to really use on a mount on the windshield. It's very distracting and blinding at night. Other map programs seem to dim for night driving, but not sure if there is a way to correct or change this.

Well obviously I could turn down the screen but was hoping there would be a more a contrast feature. Suppose it's just another reason this is a free map program.
TOTALLY not an acceptable solution, but it works: SETTINGS >> GENERAL >> ACCESSIBILITY >> INVERT COLORS. It looks like a night view of a tom tom, but they really need an auto-sensing night view
I forgot about invert col.... oh my god! 😝 Yes, they need to look at the color adjustments. Trying to use this at night can be dangerous as when I drove home, I had to just turn it off since it made seeing out the windshield more difficult.
Not really, other than going into Settings > Brightness and turning the screen to the level you find acceptable.
Settings --> Brightness & Wallpaper --> Auto-Brightness ON... and/or decrease brightness.
Is there a way to make Maps not so bright for night driving?
