flickering/ghosting keyboard on iphone 5?

When I enter my password in the app store, lines begin to flicker across rows of the keyboard.

Here is an example. This has happened on my last two visits to the app store. The first two or three times there was no problem. This is the only context in which I observe the flickering keyboard. Is anyone else having this issue?

I was having the same flickering issue plus my screen had a visible bump on the side where the volume controls are. I bought my phone on AT&T online. I went to the NYC apple store and they replaced my phone during my Genius Bar appt last week. I told the tech guy about the flickering issue and said he had not heard about it. We tested the App Store and didn't see the issue. I've had this phone for about a week now and have downloaded several apps and haven't encountered the flickering issue in this new phone.

i've called 2 different apple stores and the people at both say that haven't heard of any problems, and i directed them towards the videos on youtube and was told they can't look at those and i told them about this thread and they still said they had never heard anything about it.

i'm super frustrated, both stores i called said they didn't have any replacements for me in the store, but they expect me to come in there anyway? i just can't beleive with how easy it is to search the problem online and get 50 results that no one at apple has heard of it and i keep getting the run around.

mine is the same as everyone elses, the app store screen gets the flickering line across the keyboard and few times when i've been making calls the area where the end button is doesn't respond.

Updated:

Mine occurs on App Store, search screen and opening folder.

It seems that it happens in a short time after I wake up my phone from sleep.

Tried restore(downloaded the iOS from apple), disable emoji keyboard and with no luck.

I also called Apple Japan at 23rd last month, the guy said he knows this issue "personally" and recommended me to do a restore.

I think that even if Apple's headquarters knows this issue, we can't say every Apple Store will do so as well. But I still recommend people to call Apple to make them hurrier and leave evidence which proves you've reported your problem quite earlier, maybe that can make the replacement warranty being available longer.

I want to know is there someone who does NOT have this problem.Another guy in my office also experienced this.

Just unboxed my 5 and I have half the screen jittering non stop no matter what screen Im on. It happens non stop and has done so from the time I turned it on. Its almost EXACTLY half the screen. The lower half.

That is definitely not the same issue and not something that you should live with -- make sure you get that replaced and good luck.

Update:

I just requested a call on Apple's support site and a lovely girl 🙂called me in 5 seconds, fantastic!

I told her that what I've done and hope she could give me some advice.

She said that if I've done a restore but with no change that must be a hardware issue.

I don't think she is familiar with this problem then told her there are lot of instances on the net not only in Japan but all over the world and some of them also encountered the same problem on the replacement. I also advised her to google it.

Then she recommended me to see how it goes before Apple find the real reason. She promised me that she will note this problem down.

As other guys said, a lot of Apple Stores are not even aware of this problem, they just give general adives, I think we should call them and make this be focused.

I did a restore and the jitter subsided enormously but the line still persists intermittenly. This leads me to believe that it may not be the exact same issue but maybe a varient? And a good chance that its software related? I mean if it was hardware defect a restore would not make any difference... At least thats my line of thinking.

seriously? i've called apple and called 2 different stores and they all know i bought mine online as well but have told me to come into the store and then after that they'll have to let em know when they have more replacements in store. it makes me madder thinking now that when i get there they're going to do the same thing to me

and of course i also can't log into the app store now on top of the screen problem
