Sep 27, 2012 9:28 AM in response to samesenseby Jiwwy,Ok here's an update on my situation.
Rang TMobile UK, the guy was a moron and made no sense, but here goes. He said, they can send me a refurbished iPhone 5 which will take 30 days and I can keep this phone until then (not good enough). Or I can send back this phone now, cancel contract then sign up again ad get a brand new phone in 30 days, so 30 days without a phone (not good enough).
Rang Apple, was told to do hard reset and then full restore (i was on the phone so couldn't do either), she said that they haven't heard of this issue before and assumes apple will have no official word, because they haven't heard of the issue, apparently everyone elses iphone 5 is fine and it's just mine (sounds like ********). She said to ring TMobile UK and they should replace. She also said if full restore doesn't work, it has to be hardware, no offence to the girl but I don't think she's high up the corporate ladder or anything more than a phone monkey. But so far the only official word I've heard from Apple is, if a full restore doesn't sort it, must be hardware. Slightly worrying.
I've done a hard reset which didn't fix it. Doing full restore from iTunes now. Will let you know.

Sep 27, 2012 9:47 AM in response to samesenseby moomarine,I have this too and I returned the phone because of it, now it's happening again on the replacement! Must be a software problem then?!? Not so worried now I have seen these post from others!

Sep 27, 2012 1:08 PM in response to samesenseby OzzyMoto,FYI - I just witnessed this when composing an email, also (definitely seems related to when the keyboard overlay pops up although why it only happens some of the time is a mystery)...

Sep 27, 2012 1:45 PM in response to samesenseby jesseschmidt,I am also seeing this occassionally. I have only noticed it happening with the transparent/overlay keyboard up when entering my password for the App Store. Looks like this may be a software issue so I won't be going in to replace the phone just yet...

Sep 28, 2012 8:17 AM in response to samesenseby Jiwwy,I restored to factory settings yesterday, and have been signing in out of the AppStore every so often. Not had a problem yet. Anyone else wanna try factory reset? Remember to back up before so you restore afterward, the back and restore works well btw, all apps, saved data, messages etc... Let me know if anyone's gonna give it a try!

Sep 29, 2012 12:30 AM in response to superafimby wotsthestory,Same here, although mine was forced! Reported to Apple 'Care' line, they helpfully said I needed to Reset my settings, which would only effect basic settings and not the content etc. Double-checked, are you sure etc. All settings gone, VPN connections, Saved Wireless etc. Had to reload from iCloud (glad that system works well), it's happened twice this morning already. Still not heard anything outside of this forum, very odd.

Sep 29, 2012 12:35 AM in response to wotsthestoryby superafim,There are a few threads on MacRumors, like this one:
http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1450211
Also it's all over Youtube...
I take the point that others made about this possibly being driver-related. I just wonder why - if that's the case - it didn't show up in testing. Surely it must be related to hardware variance somehow, even if it's not an out-and-out hardware fault?

Sep 29, 2012 6:36 AM in response to samesenseby bomani1,Wow, this started with my phone as well, and my wifes phone. I hope apple will fix this bug soon.

Sep 29, 2012 6:59 AM in response to samesenseby Scuba_bunny,This problem started a few days ago. Doesn't happened only with apple store, I was typing text msgs and the keyboard started to flicker both left and right of the screen (keyboard). Took a vid using my other phone and booked an appointment for a replacement (hopefully)
Last time I was in the apple store, changed my new iPad due to microphone issue.
Don't really think its a software issue.

Sep 29, 2012 1:26 PM in response to samesenseby Jiwwy,Been two days since I did a factory reset, been signing in and out lots and not had a problem... Fingers crossed!

Sep 29, 2012 3:45 PM in response to samesenseby Enmatta00,It also happened once to me and since then been trying to make it happen again but nothing. I think it's iOS 6 because if its screen issues it would happen not only while in App Store. So let hope for that if not AppleCare will kick in.

Sep 30, 2012 9:01 AM in response to samesenseby Queueman,I had flickering once, between the top and the second row of the keyboard, but I don't remember what I was typing at the time.
