reception trouble, iphone 5

I just got the new iphone and am experiencing very weak cell signal. My Blackberry used to have 3-4 bars, my new iphone has no signal or 1 bar.

This is with the same carrier so signal should be the same. Any suggestions or is this a glitch with the new phone?
