It is very lovely but the battery life is hopeless. In the ,
Last 12 hours I have recharged once. All usual suspects turned off hardly any use.....it's a Saturday......
If this is the future then I will have to change..... I recognise this is a computer in your hand but it must last 12 hours surely ?

A very weak signal will significantly cut down on your battery life.
Hope you got that extened warranty, I didnt with the iphone 4 and after a year I wanted to replace the battery on their dime and they do ef all. I paid full price for mine. what a rip off.
My battery life is a **** site better than on my old Samsung Galaxy. I used to have to carry a spare around with that thing. I'm guessing if you're having issues with the battery life you might try turning off the 4G if you dn't really need it. I mean if all you're doing is calling, texting, etc. Basically anything other than heavy web surfing you really don't need it and it will save on battery life.
The only trouble I'm having going from Android to iphone is in the contacts syncing. iphone does not do as good a job of syncing contacts with google and facebook as the android did. I'm getting there but it's a bit of a struggle at the moment. Not complaining though, it's a great phone and I doubt that I'll go back to Android.
Here is the solution to the battery life issue. Go into settings/privacy/location services. Turn off all that crap there. Leave on find phone and other critical apps but kill all the others. The turn off unneeded push notifications. Then things will go better.
I totally agree with MMoxley. GREAT advice. It would definately be the apps running in the background that is causing shortage of battery life.
I bought my iPhone exactly a week ago today and I have had no problem with the battery life.
I have had every model of the IPhone and the Iphone 5 is the best by far!

Do you really think that an iPhone technical support forum is a sensible place to ask that question?
iPhone 5 is good & I am a apple Fan for its quality & have all apple products .. just trieda galaxy note 2 for few days... My comment is - Apple will have to seriously look into the next phone to bring a revolution again...
anyways... my next phone will be the next iphone.. and i trust for the best.
