iphone 5 keyboard flickers only on app store

Thanks for posting this. Yes, I'm experiencing this too. Especially on the number/symbol keyboard, but only when it's the black keyboard (versus gray).

It's unrelated, but I'm also seeing my phone freeze for several seconds before catching up... that's happened twice now.

mine does exactlyt he same thing.. flickers when typing in password on the app store.

after restarting the phone, the problem seemed to have gone away.

Same problem here. Certainly a relief to see others are having the same issue. Must be a bug!

I have the same - number keyboard when entering password...

UK iPhone 5 64gb.

I'll try a hard reset, and I'll give it a week. But I think it'll be back to Apple store for genius opinion...

I noticed this as well, when you have a popup that brings up the keyboard, switching to the characters list of the keyboards creates a couple of flickering lines that are artifacts from the previous keyboard view.

Typing or switching keyboard characters list does seem to get rid of the issue but it is rather annoying. I think it is software related and hopefully they can address this easily.

I have the same problem. Only on the numerical keyboard. And it goes away after I leave that keyboard. Hopefully not a hardware issue!!! I'm sure we'll be seeing an iOS 6.0.1 very soon..

If it helps, I did a hard reset (hold power and home until apple logo shows), and the glitch has gone (for the moment).

Now experiencing wifi/cellular connectivity issues when transitioning from one to the other... 6.1 better be soon...

Yup this happens to both me AND my girlfriend's 16gb white iphone 5. We did reset, no change.

Sounds like a software issue though, as it happens nowhere else.

Just a guess, though.. Apple willl admit it soon enough with all this evidence.

FYI - I just witnessed this when composing an email, also (definitely seems related to when the keyboard overlay pops up although why it only happens some of the time is a mystery)...

I have also experienced this three times, all while entering my Apple ID password within the App store. I thought it was due to overheating (as video artifacts usually are), but I'm not so sure it isn't just some kind of display bug. I don't recall my phone being particularly hot when it happened.

Has anyone heard anything from Apple on this?

Yes I talked to Apple about me and my girlfriend's phone5 doing the same thing. They said this:

"Yes, apparently we are aware that this is an issue. As of now, there is no fix."

So ,they know, and they know there is no fix. They also said:

"Apparently, this is happening OUTSIDE of the app store as well, intermittently. Hard reset isn't fixing it."

So that means hardware probably.. What the heck will they do? Recall? I don't care if they don't, I paid 700 dollars! I'm ******** till i get a new phone that doesnt do it!

My iphone 5 did the same thing and my phone was pretty warm too
