Sep 28, 2012 6:07 AM in response to JCrew7384by smaki77,I did my restore from DFU mode - still only got 5 hrs 14 min of basic usage before it died - very disappointed - today it has already dropped to 89% and only usage of 31 minute - that extrapolites out to about 5 hours of usage - should I try another clean restore?

Sep 28, 2012 6:17 AM in response to mhabashyby chrisfromgastonia,Update... So far after i put my phone into DFU mode and did a restore from icloud backup the battery seems to be quit a bit better! Im wondering if there is an issue with the factory installed ios 6 and when you do a complete restore it fixes that problem.? Will update a little later on battery usage agian to give everyone the results, albeit good or bad. So far stats are alot better.

Sep 28, 2012 6:23 AM in response to mhabashyby jshank83,Some people reset their network settings and reset their privacy and location on the reset screen and that seemed to help. I noticed passport location services turns on a lot so I turned the passbook location off and that has seemed to help. Not sure how much til I see how my phone does today but it seemed like it helped a fair amount last night.

Sep 28, 2012 6:25 AM in response to mfritterby mfritter,So I did my restore just from iTunes - Restore option on the Summary page. Sounds like that is different than DFU mode restore?
I'm only seeing a marginal improvement.... I let my battery run dead this morning and am charging now. Should I try a DFU restore? Once I get it into DFU mode how do I actually do the restore? Im assuming iTunes will know what to do?
Thnx!

Sep 28, 2012 6:31 AM in response to mfritterby chrisfromgastonia,Hold down control and option , then click restore in itunes.
Thats after you put the phone into DFU mode. If your not sure how to do that , Google it. it will give you exacts on the process.

Sep 28, 2012 7:24 AM in response to seanleeby andyk105,Its simple maths! That battery seems fine.
8 hours talk time equates to 12.5% per hour
225 hours standby = 0.44% per hour
Therefore
Usage: 3hrs 17mins = 40%
Standby: 10hrs 48 mins = 4.7%
Call Time: 1hr 48 mins = 22%
battery life at 49% atm
This should add up to 66% battery use leaving you with roughly 33%. You have 49% left so I would be happy with that.

Sep 28, 2012 9:16 AM in response to mhabashyby chrisfromgastonia,Update: The DFU mode and restore from icloud i performed yesterday has seemed to work well. Normally by this time of day ( noon ) i would have 70% left and now after the DFU and restore i still have 93%, still doing the same amount of use as always. Hopefully this will help everyone else that is experiencing high battery drain.
