Is this a bug?

I loaded the new iOS 6 the other day. All went well. But I just noticed I missed hearing a text that was sent. When I checked my phone my tones and sounds were much lower than those on my husband's phone. After searching and testing we discovered that the sound level in Music was down - this was affecting the other sounds on my phone.

I'm thinking this is a bug because the Ringer and Alerts sound level in Settings was up full.
