Bent Upper Unibody: Ethernet & Adapter ports? Bend back into shape?
Hello Everyone,
This is my first post in this forum. I've visited here ocassionally for some reference - most recently, for a bent macbook unibody. Unfortunately, a few days ago, my my macbook fell about a foot from my bed to the soft carpet surface below and the rest is history. As the photo I've attached shows (below), the warping is in the upper part of the unibody around the adapter and ethernet ports - hence, why I now have a case on this thing. It's a pretty minor cosmetic issue but I'd like to fix it. I have AppleCare and understand that 1. This damage is not covered and 2. Going to the apple store would result in a quote to the tune of several hundred dollars. I may be wrong but the bend appears to be minor. If it's feasible and worth the risk, what tools should I acquire to bend it back into shape? If it isn't worth the risk, the world won't end. Thank you for all your suggestions and advice.
