Keeps crashing after updating to iOS 6 on iPod touch

Have you possibly tried reseting the ipod?

You may have to go as far as clearing the phones metadata by putting the ipod into dfu and taking it out or
using a cleaning tool that probably costs money.

Theres also the possibility of setting you ipod back to the 5.1.1 ios.

I dont like testing the new software and havent even wanted to try the new ios.

There have been a lot of people with issues on this new version of iOS. Try doing a hard reboot by holding the home and power button at the same time untill you see the iPhone reboot to the Apple logo. Then release the home and power buttons and let it load up. If that doesn't work, restore your iPod in iTunes.

I have the same problem with my iphone 4s. most of the apps keeps crashing though the phone itself is not. everytime i switch to other app and return back to the previous app, the app starts from the beginning. its very tiresome having to wait for the starting-up of the app to finish. Its like the multitasking feature of the phone is no longer reliable.

How can we deal with this? do you guys have the same problem?

I'm also having this problem, apps keeps on crashing even if I'm only composing message for sms.

Is there anything that we can do to fix this?

I'm experiencing the same thing here. I'm thinking of restoring my OS to 5.1.1 because of this.

Hey I had this problem as well, just started yesturday out of the blue. I have an iPhone 4S. After trying a few "Hard Reboot", I did a full restore. Problem has not occured since. Make sure you have a full backup.

Same in here got the same problem my iPhone 4S apps keep on crashing !!!! Can't do anything now with my iPhone !!!! Come on apple do something about it !!!!!!!!

@brayc - if you've updated to iOS 6, you can't possibly go back to iOS 5.1.1 coz Apple is no longer signing iOS 5.x... or edit the host file and do a custom restore which, in my knowledge, will bring up the 3194 error in any case.

I never had this problem until I kept up with their updates. Every time I update my ipod there's a bigger lag and everything crashes. I thought it was some of the apps and then my photos crash, their itunes and app stores crash, it's just rediculous. Figure it out people. The whole IOS6 and up has done nothing but make your prooducts worse. And it's sad the only way I can get rid of this bug is to back up my almost 2,000 pictures and videos and all my music just to fix your mistakes. Honestly, I think you should provide me with something to backup all my imformation on considering it's apple's mistake not mine, and also the fact that I pay a bill for an Iphone I own EVERY MONTH. I don't pay you guys to ruin my phone. I'm honestly sick of apple products.

How do you restore your ipod touch 4th generations back to ios 5?

Downgrading the iOS is not supported by Apple. When you restore the iPod it will always go to the latest iOS version for that model iPod.
