Sep 22, 2012 3:38 AM in response to holdregeby oli84,I have this same problem, I thought that my iPhone 5 battery drained quickly yesterday but I figured it was just because I was using it so much. Well I plugged it in when I went to sleep last night, I woke up in the middle of the night and unplugged it. When I woke up this morning my battery had already drained quite a bit. I looked at the usage stats and it said it was in standby for 2:45 minutes and usage was 1:45. I am not sure how its being used for almost two hours over night. It has the same setting as I restored from backup. Also, my wife has a 4S that has 6.0 and she had very little usage time, seems at least in my case to be confined to the iPhone 5. Very annoying though.

Sep 22, 2012 4:02 AM in response to oli84by holdrege,Thanks Oli for letting me know it's not only me and identifying the usage issue. I just checked and it says over 5 hours which is a good bit more than I have used the phone. Can I ask if you are in Europe? I am in France and I wonder if this is related to a batch that was delivered to Europe. People in the US are saying their battery life is great, but I wonder if it is too soon to say for them.

Sep 22, 2012 4:06 AM in response to holdregeby oli84,★HelpfulI've been reading around and it seems there are a fair amount of people having issues. Hopefully a fix comes quickly. I'm in the US, so at least in my case the issue is present over here as well, yeah I've only had the phone for about 20 hours so we still fairly new to this, I think today we will see more of these issues come up.

Sep 22, 2012 4:24 AM in response to holdregeby Alive_84,I have the same issue too. It claims to last 8hours of constant use but it ends up only lasting half that time. This is really a big issue and definately a complete lie too!

Sep 22, 2012 4:58 AM in response to holdregeby djleviathan,I have the same problem. Dropped 4% from unplugging my phone and browsing this forum for about 20 minutes. Thought a full charge cycle would help but no dice. Just as bad today.

Sep 22, 2012 5:17 AM in response to djleviathanby Chowdah,Same here. Full charged this morning, down to 91% with very little use in. I manually turned off all of my apps and that seems to have slowed the drain some.
I let it down to 10% last night before charging, I also thought a full cycle would help.

Sep 22, 2012 5:21 AM in response to holdregeby Ricky7780,Same here. My iPhone 5 battery drains a lot faster than my iPhone 4. With 30 min of consecutive use I've dropped 40%. With my iPhone 4 after 1 hr of continuos use I'd drop 30%

Sep 22, 2012 5:26 AM in response to holdregeby iPhoNettie,This is only a suggestion. When the iPhone 4S came out people were having the same issue. One possible reason could be the "diagnostics and usage" section under "general settings>about". If its set to automatically send, it could very well be the culprit. With the iPhone 4S I think it defaulted to automatically send. I haven't had any battery issues with my ip5, but my diag and usage is set to "don't send". This may not be the issue, but at least check into it to rule it out.

Sep 22, 2012 5:34 AM in response to holdregeby ebrown711,Well 83 percent after that post. I think this LTE is the culprit.
