Q: iPhone 5 battery life is way worse than iPhone 4

5.5hrs useage and 20% left. Standby 18.5

Every time I use cellular mobile web it starts the battery drop..

does anyone out there actually use their iPhone with little or no third party apps?

If so, i wonder if you still see the same random 1% every 2-3 minutes battery usage on occasion.

Wish I could delete post.  Sorry should've checked it fully and then posted.. .This is not a fix...37 mins usage/40 mins standby 95% twitter, but mostly just texting... i don't know if this is good? I don't think so though.  Sorry guys.. out of ideas... over it... gonna pray replacement doesnt have this issue. take care!!! thanks for all the help and the potential fixes.

dude, i think you *may* have found the cause...it's the browser.

i was in standby and using a few things here and there... for maybe 10+ minutes and the battery never dropped from 48%

used the browser for 2-3 minutes and dropped 2%

i just killed the browser process, i will update if the battery stops dropping so quick

Try Chrome? I think it's many things but Safari always causes heat and batt drain for me.

Then again so did iTunes Match streaming earlier!

I experience a 1% drain every 2/3 minutes with just the screen on, looking at my settings…No web.

That is a CRAZY turn of events @handsfull ! Can you pinpoint what could've made that happen at all?

1% drain every 2/3 min it means that you have something using cellular. use the netstat app to find out which app.

You're on pace for potentially 12 hours of usage with 95% usage after 37 min. Do the math. (Minutes/60 plus hours) divided by (Percent used)

That's not that bad. I've been getting around 6 hours and 40 min with Verizon and using just only LTE.

no he will drop 1% every 2 minutes which means that he will be at 99% of the battery ( drained ) in 200 minutes. that is not good at all
