Oct 11, 2012 3:29 PM in response to Yuniverseby Phil Rogers,We haven't talked about me lately.
I'm in Chicago, and it's 5:30. Left home with 100% charge this morning.
Now at 37%.
Phone says 3 hours 31 minutes usage
10 hours 18 minutes of standby
I have made a handful of phone calls, and checked email. I have not used Safari or texted at all.
I'm on Verizon. This thing will be dead before I get home.

Oct 11, 2012 3:31 PM in response to Handsfullby Bellatone,At least you have a 30 day window. My 14 day window with purchasing it from Sprint expired a day before my second logging was reported (this past Sunday). I'm stuck with it. Not like it would make any difference going back to the 4S. It still uses iOS 6 now.

Oct 11, 2012 3:36 PM in response to holdregeby iphone5rocks,I have 4 phones on Verizon CDMA. None of them are using unusual amounts of standby battery life at this point. As I said before one had a bad SIM card that caused high battery drain in standby. Replacing the SIM card corrected this.
If you try a replacement phone and it doesn't work, you may want to consider if the SIM card could be bad.
Maybe I was the only one in the world who had a bad SIM card, but I doubt it.

Oct 11, 2012 3:37 PM in response to iphone5rocksby Bellatone,As far as I know, Sprint doesn't require the SIM card to function. It didn't on the 4S. I'll try removing it and seeing what happens.

Oct 11, 2012 3:46 PM in response to ebrown711by ImplodingApple,I think the LTE is a great point, but also to make sure they're no apps running in the background to save battery life until there is a fix. I'm sure there will be a fix soon because IOS 5 had a fix soon after when it was released.

Oct 11, 2012 3:54 PM in response to holdregeby iphone5rocks,Handsfull,
I am at 73%
Usage 2 hrs 10 min
Standby 1 Day 4 hrs
Not sure if this is good or bad, but most of the time my phone is at home were my signal strength is 1 or 2 bars. My phone is always switching between o,3g and LTE. So I don't think this is a fair test.

Your assuming the 'only' problem is iOS 6. We don't know that.
Add me to the list of GSM phone's with issue
@bellatone
