Oct 12, 2012 7:56 AM in response to spyd4rby Phil Rogers,I don't know what RMA means. Remember, I'm just a guy. I'm beginning to think we need another thread for people like me who aren't software engineers who just want a phone.

Oct 12, 2012 8:20 AM in response to Phil Rogersby Handsfull,The cost of the phone isn't as bad as the administration costs. They have to process and ship the phones back to get evaluated before they get thrown back into the mix. The quickest way to effect change is thru the pocketbook. Either return the phone for a refund or keeping getting replacements....I'm doing the latter...I have 4 apple stores nice and close to me ;)

Oct 12, 2012 8:21 AM in response to Handsfullby Phil Rogers,I have an appointment tomorrow at noon. will report on the result. They don't always volunteer to give you a replacement...so we'll see what happens.

Be sure to take screenshots of your usage screen at 10% battery life or so. It's hard to deny hard evidence when presented directly to the genius. Tell them you're getting a new phone, don't ask.

I thought you were getting 12 hour usage at one point? What happened and why are you getting replacements again?

Too lengthy to explain on iPhone but check past posts.
Long story short, the only 12 hour use was my first battery numbers that were produced. After that, I'm getting 4.5 usage and 18 standby on average.....consistently. Bad news. We are that the mercy of apple if you want better battery life, there is no more anyone can do. Period.
What boggles my mind is that no major news media has caught this....is everyone asleep at the wheel??

Oct 12, 2012 9:38 AM in response to spyd4rby Handsfull,Unreal. Put as much time into finding a resolution to OS bugs and doing beta testing prior to releasing a failed maps app as you do scanning this forum and we wouldn't be here trying to find our own work around for failed software (or possibly hardware).
If keeping your top management in the dark about failures is the standard....Apple is in trouble. My god, Steve Jobs is must have passed out by now watching this unfold.
