If you are logged in with your Apple ID to this forum, you will see a box (top-right) with "Stop receiving email notifications". I did that too after a while

I need some help with something. In a stunning piece of irony, all of the email notifications from this thread are killing me. I would like to just check it manually, but I can't get them to stop. I got in my preferences above and turned all email notifications to "no", but I'm still getting them. Any ideas?

Oct 15, 2012 6:29 AM in response to holdregeby Koandco,It's the LTE that drains it fast. APPLE should either recall the phones (massively) or give us some kind of hardware / software update to FIX it. Come on people, it's the worst iphone ever, wish I could get my old one back but I sold it.
Can we make a collective complaint?

Every time you post it automatically turns email notifications back on again, so make sure you turn them off again. Thing is, it doesn't seem to show it ON immediately after you've posted so I find it best to toggle it ON then OFF.

Oct 15, 2012 7:46 AM in response to Tim Pentreathby Handsfull,Everyone:
I went and did something extreme, and have some VERY VERY great info to post soon.
I bought another iPhone so I could run one next to each other. One UNUSED and the other used like I normally do.
Just wrapping it up, but can tell you that I've learned a lot about people who are posting 'good' numbers. Stay tuned.

Oct 15, 2012 11:14 AM in response to AlwaysLookin4Answersby Handsfull,In on the road so ill make it short, but lets just say I've been running two iPhones next to each other.
One is used throughout the day, one is untouched.
After battery reaches 5% charge these are the results:
Untouched phone stats = 5.5 hours of usage, 1 day 2 hours
Phone that was 'used' = 5 hours 18 hours of standby.
Need I say more? How can a Phone that I've NEVER touched have 5.5 hours of usage? FAIL. The longer your phone sits on standby, the longer the usage times are.
