Oct 29, 2012 12:18 PM in response to Keja3600by Keja3600,my conclusion? its the 2G/3G/4G/LTE antenna that's constantly switching between different signals trying to connect, that's sucking our battery bone-dry.which according to me also causes the bad connection most of the time (never get over 3 bars on mine) that and maybe bad callibration software since mine sometimes says 100 percent charged but the green charging battery on the screen isn't quite full yet.anyway im quite sure this can be fixed by software, but to be honest im very disappointed and disgusted by apple.i paid for a top of the line smartphone, not to be a beta tester!!

No offense but we,ve came to this conclusion about a few 1000 posts before yours lol but all we can do now is hope Apples 6.0.1 update fixes this or the network provider you are with gets better. It seems to me that with faster cellular speeds/network comes worse battery life. Also you couldn't just post all that in one post instead of 3 or 4 seperate posts??? This threads big enough as it is already ;) Lol

Oct 29, 2012 1:00 PM in response to Keja3600by HSUEA001,I dont think you can blame entirely on Apple since it is the network issue. I mean, Apple can find a fix for it, im sure.
Currently at 43%, 5 hours 33 min usage, 1 Day 2 Hours Standby.

Oct 29, 2012 1:24 PM in response to Keja3600by Bellatone,Agreed. And has anyone else noticed that making FaceTime calls never works? It goes live for two seconds and then says "Reconnecting" with the spin icon for about twenty seconds before it works again for two seconds, then repeats the entire process over and over. This never once happened with my iPhone 4S on iOS 5.1.1.

Oct 29, 2012 1:32 PM in response to ramone12781by Keja3600,lol i know people have reached this conclusion before,im trying to say that I'M sure of it now, forgive me :p
and i know this thread is long just making it longer so that apple notices it :D
@HSUEA ; who else can you blame?the providers? i think apple should make sure connectivity is great everywhere before they sell their phone..just like other brands do.
believe me it hurts me writing this :D im a big apple fan and i still love their products but this is just sad.why not just come out and say ; we know there are issues with some users, we are working it out for you and we will release a fix as soon as possible.that would end this thread immediately :p

Apple is a phone manufactor, not a connectivity provider. They have no way of testing every single carrier... The carrier however, can check their networks... I honestly dont see how apple is responisble for connectivity...

Oct 29, 2012 4:16 PM in response to ramone12781by Player8,LTE is only part of the problem, I work in an area which forces my phone to switch between 3G and LTE and still get about 8 hours usage. Will try with it switched off today.

Oct 29, 2012 5:25 PM in response to holdregeby LEECK78,Guys, i don't think its a network issue because i'm having full signal with LTE and guess what my batt drains on an average of 1%/min while reading the feedbacks from u guys..
-
Oct 29, 2012 5:33 PM in response to LEECK78by vrs626,Yea, I have the same battery drain on 3G as I do on LTE.

Oct 29, 2012 8:38 PM in response to holdregeby revDAVE,Scott Forstall in charge of IOS steps down!…
HMMM… I wonder if it had anything to do with all the horrid IOS flaws as described here in this and other threads (battery drain - maps and excessive data consumption etc...)
also check out some fun/stupid comments at the bottom...

Oct 30, 2012 2:05 AM in response to Keja3600by grenhall,If that would be the case. Why isn't everyone experiencing the battery drain?
I've just met a colleague that just got his iPhone 5 64GB black. He purchased from Apple and is using another serviceprovider than me. But at 31% battery he's got:
Usage: 7h 52min
Standby: 1day 15h
Both our phones were made in C3 factory in China and both are produced week of 39 (september).
So it's strange. Very strange.
Added stats and more information.

Oct 30, 2012 4:35 AM in response to holdregeby stevebez,At mom ,....
73%
2hrs 49min usage - usage is defined by screen on, not necesarily callls or browsing btw.
5hrs 17min standby - screen offMy wifes phone on other hand would be sub 10% by now ...
Wife is white 64GB, Mine black 64GB.
She has FB I don't. Her usage over wifi is fine. When out and about it just flops...
My phone sits on my desk all day not charging (strong 3G signal - no LTE available here yet) and by time I'm home I'm on 30-50%.
Can't complain too much on my phone but Genius Bar aptmnt for missus now arranged.
