Nov 28, 2012 3:25 PM in response to AlwaysLookin4Answersby HwyHawk1976,Don't know guy. Like i said, i spoke to a Genius and he claimed the 1440 was only an estimate. I'M not buying that S H I T. Can't c it being that far off (16mAh) when my wife's iphone 4S is only off 2mAh from the advertised specs. Seriously thinking of going to Ebay with the Iphone 5 and gettng the New Droid RAZR MAX HD.

Nov 28, 2012 3:33 PM in response to HwyHawk1976by CliffHNZ,The two questions then are:
1. Is this app correct in what it is reporting
2. If it is correct, what's the likelyhood of a "bad batch" of batteries being sent out in iPhones which are under spec'd for the job.
Since some of you have now picked up this app and seen a reading of at least 3.8V where mine reads 3.7V, there is a difference somewhere. Voltage is something that would be reported and readable by software accessing the right information. That would mean (again, if this is accurate) that we can confirm there are different voltage batteries floating around in the wild now.

Nov 28, 2012 3:39 PM in response to holdregeby MX14,My question is for those of you that have seen 7+ hours of usage ( not standby) was that when the phone was located in one spot conected to wifi?
Im finding that since I'm not around wifi once I leave the house in the morning that the reason I'm getting 3-5 hours of usage before 1% battery remaining is that I'm driving around the central part of NJ and the phone is joining and leaving different towers while also going between 4G and LTE most of the time. I hardly ever see Edge.

Nov 28, 2012 3:44 PM in response to MX14by CliffHNZ,For me if I go to Edge and leave cellular data on (but use WiFi all day) I can get between 7-9 hours usage with about 10% left. I'm lucky that my provider still offers Edge as a fallback, especially for all of this testing. Now, if there was a way to toggle off the dual cell connections and drop back to single I'd have my answer as to whether it is 3G in general or the DC functionallity draining this thing like thirsty hound dog in the summer.I get damned good usage when I switch to Edge actually, almost equivalent to what I got surfing all day on my iPhone4 exclusively on 3G!!! So flipping frustrating!

Nov 28, 2012 3:47 PM in response to holdregeby CliffHNZ,And just to go on with the battery specs, isn't 3.8V 5.45Wh equivalent to a 1434mAh battery? Not a 1440mAh as we see in teardows or the 1424mAh we're seeing in the app? This is just getting rediculous now.

Nov 28, 2012 3:49 PM in response to CliffHNZby HwyHawk1976,Good questions. I believe the bottom line is tho, is that Apple has been exposed. Its gotta b some good explination for this discrepancy. When my wife returns from the mall I will post the readings from her Iphone 4S and they clearly show the 4S battery having more mAh power, at 1430, than that of the Iphone 5. **Disturbing**
