Dec 18, 2012 7:41 AM in response to cocktail5555by Jameson!,Ugh..... We really need to let this one die. Battery life issues have no relationship to charging method.

Also, I too am thinking there is something related to charging with the wall adapter vs USB. At first when I read people mentioning that, I thought they were crazy. But, yesterday's charge when my phone had great batter life, was charged via my iMac. Last night I charged my phone via wall plug and just took it off the charger. It went from 100% to 98% in 2 minutes and is still dropping rapidly as I continue to use.
Something is odd there......

Dec 18, 2012 8:33 AM in response to Jameson!by Jluvs2dive,Definitely. I charge mine different ways all the time, sometimes with the AC charger, sometimes with my computer and sometimes in my car, and none of it makes a difference. It doesn't matter how I charge it, if I'm on WiFi I get great battery life and fortunately for me I'm on WiFi most of the time. If I spend time on cellular whether LTE or 3G the battery drains quickly.

Dec 18, 2012 8:45 AM in response to Jameson!by cocktail5555,Jameson - I resoectfully dissagree. Read my comment. I was also thinking NO WAY could charging via a different method be the case.
BUT! I always charge via wall plug, and always got horrible battery drain. The other night I was out of town and using my phone for Maps to get to the location. I used my car charger and charged to 100%. I was on 4G & LTE throughout the entire night and that was the first time I noticed that my battery wasn't dying like it's been since day one. Again, I still didn't want to believe that was the fix because it sounded stupid. My battery lasted the until morning and still has 25% left and i used the phone heavily that night. Video, pics, facebook, text, safari, etc.
Then yesterday's USB charge and I notice the same thing, great battery life. I am not saying you are correct, OR wrong. But, you still can't throw the charging theory out the window just because YOU personally don't beleive it. Do some reserch and you will see that different charging options can power the batterys different.
I suggest that other, if possible, can try to use a car charger or USB and see if they see a difference.
Only thing it can do is help to solve this terrible issue we are all having since Apple can't.

Dec 18, 2012 4:41 PM in response to DVDckardby ponglong,Just got it.. Let's see how this goes.. So far I don't seem to see an improvement. Beta users have been reporting 6.1 has better battery life so may have to wait for that.
Since it's only for iPhone 5 and iPad mini, not sure if it'll fix the problem if it's a software issue as 4s users reported crap battery life on IOS 6, so they shoulda got the update too if there was a hidden battery fix. -
Dec 18, 2012 9:50 PM in response to ponglongby iLoveiPhone85,I am using 6.1 beta 4 and immediately see a MASSIVE battery difference. Lookin good guys :)

Dec 19, 2012 1:23 AM in response to iLoveiPhone85by KéKé,If there is a God... Please let it be fixed in IOS 6.1
Then I can finally enjoy using my extremely expensive new phone.
I just realized: Apple stealing our hard earned cash with lies and faulty products is nothing compared to the problems others are facing in this world.
Merry christmas people!

Dec 19, 2012 1:47 AM in response to KéKéby coolkenny13,God realised the terrible battery life on his spanking new iphone 5 and thus moved to android a couple of days back. Sorry to burst yo bubble

Dec 19, 2012 10:18 AM in response to ponglongby trwarren239,actually my battery life has gotten considerably worse after applying the 6.0.2 update. Before, it was great; now it went from 90% to 45% in about an hour (and that was with no usage of the phone other than sliding it on).
