Yes updated to 6.0.2 kills my battery faster than 6.0.1 now it couldn't last three hours why wasn't this bug discovered before release.

I can not believe it, it is worse than my iPhone 4. My wife's 4s is just amazing I fully charged my phone last night, at 12 midnight I set the alarm for 6:20, got up at 7 because the battery was dead, hence the alrm did not ring. I wish I hadn't upgraded if I has know that the battery will be the same as my crappy iPhone 4

Mines battery life very poor aswell. Working in outdoor conditions doesn't help at all.

My 2+ year old iPhone 4 lost <5% after a full night of sleep. iPhone 5 loses more than 30%.

When actually using iPhone 5 I can watch the battery percentage drop as if it's an animated gif loading slowly.

    Ridiculous.

Have you tried resetting the whole phone and setting it up as a new phone, while not restoring from icloud? This has helped some people with this issue on battery. i'm running on 6.0.1 and only lost about 4% with close to 9hrs standby. But this is on 6.0.1 not sure about 6.0.2

I've tried all the stuff you suggested. Nothing has been working. This really ***** because this is my first iPhone and the guy with the big Samsung Note 2 can let his sit for 3 days without charging.

Hey guys. I have been following this post for quite a while and I want to share the trick that worked for me.

1- Charge you iphone completely and after 100% let it chare for an hour more.

2- Unplug the iphone and restart it by holding down Power and Home button simultaneously and let it go when you see apple logo.

3- Now plugin the charger again for 2 seconds and unplug it immidiately.

4- Turn On Airplane mode and turn off Airplane mode do this 7 to 8 times with 3 seconds interval.

5- After that you are done and see the battery life if its improved or not.

I have to do it every time my usage and standby time becomes 0. Its a temporary fix for and I hope works for you guys also...

    Regards,

    Mark Ris.

P.S. Sorry for Bad english i am learning....

Are you seriously ok. ? After the second step I stopped reading. Your better off buying a new phone than doing all those nonsensical steps you just mentioned. That's a fail product

Thanks for the info. I'll give this a try.

I suppose the point is that you shouldn't have to do all these hocus pocus steps to get your phone to work as it is advertised. I just wish Apple would acknowledge the issue. I'm hoping one of the tech sites (i.e. CNET) would test this out to make sure that I'm not crazy.
